Clergy desiring to become chaplains with the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy must complete an application. The application will be reviewed by the selection committee and a South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) background check and references will be requested. A letter will be sent to the applicant notifying him/her of the committee’s decision. If the decision is positive the clergy-person will become a ‘ChaplainTrainee’. Upon successful completion of additional criteria, the “Trainee” status will be removed from your classification. A photograph ID will be issued and the needed equipment. For further information or to apply for consideration please contact us.
