In the past, I have visited some crime scenes in the African American community to provide support and assistance to break the barriers in law enforcement. However, some victim’s families would refrain from interaction with me (law enforcement). But when the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy arrives on scene, the families are more willing to accept their services and not turn them away.
